17/03/1889: Foundered off Flamborough head while towing two sloops WAVE & VIOLET from Boston to Grangemouth, the two sloops also foundered.
She was struck by a heavy sea during a violent gale; all three crews were rescued by ROCKLANDS and the Grimsby fishing smack RESEARCH (GY 988) and landed at Grimsby.
