Tug Owner: CO Young, North Shields

Charles Octavius Young was born in North Shields in 1840, the son of Septimus Young a local tug owner. In later life Charles seems to have been a prominent cricketer as well as a ship and tug owner in his own right. He moved to Cardiff at some stage, owning ships and tugs there as well. He died in Cardiff in 1884.
